Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask Review

Youth to the People launched their Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask in early 2019, and I had to pick one up right away. It is a sleeping mask, which means you can leave it on overnight, no need to rinse. It works it’s magic while you sleep! And trust me, it is pure magic.

This is a richly hydrating mask that also firms and brightens the skin. It features emollient ingredients like squalane, hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and betaine, and the anti-oxidative support of cold-pressed superberries like maqui, goji, açai, and prickly pear. It also includes tetrahexyldecyl (THD) ascorbate, a super potent, stable form of vitamin C for a brightening boost. It has a gorgeous balmy texture.

Review of Youth to the People Superberry Hydrate + Glow Dream Mask

I have dry, dehydrated skin, and am always looking for a way to boost hydration and lock in moisture. I am also drawn to anything with vitamin C in it! I love the brightening effect it gives, and my skin responds very well to it. For anyone getting introduced to skincare, the biggest advice I can give is to incorporate vitamin C into your routine!

I have been using this mask 3-4 times a week for the last 2 months. After application, my skin is immediately softened, and i wake up the next day with supple, hydrated skin that looks plump and glowing. The morning after my first use, I was so blown away by how soft my skin felt, I made my husband come touch my face! It felt amazing and the results are immediate. It is very emollient and feels velvety-smooth on the skin, which is surprising for a silicone-free formula!

YTTP suggests to use it in the evening after cleansing. They suggest using a little more than you would use for a moisturizer, but less than you would use for a mask. With this product, I recommend applying it like you would a moisturizer, and rubbing it into the skin, rather than just letting a thick layer lay on top of the skin like a mask. It spreads out nicely, so you really only need about a pea to a blueberry-sized scoop.

It comes with its own spatula to keep things hygienic, which I love. You can layer this mask over your favourite oils or actives, or just wear it on its own for a simple, yet effective, routine! I find it works amazingly after a retinol treatment to really lock in moisture and protect from the sensitizing effects that can result from retinol.

All in all, this one is a big hit for me! It launched the first week of 2019, and I can guarantee that this will be on my 2019 favourites list at the end of the year. I hate waiting around for sheet masks or rinse-off masks, so this is really the perfect option for me. The potent boost of a mask, without any fuss!

This mask retails for $59 CAD/ $48 USD and contains 2 oz. of product. This mask is sulfate-free, paraben-free, pthalate-free, silicone-free, cruelty-free, and vegan, and is housed in 100% recyclable packaging.

    1. Saw that!! Followed you back! I love YTTP! Their packaging is 100% recyclable and made of glass. I’ve seen others repurpose the jars to plant succulents and it looks so cute. I’m going to do that with my empty!
