I’m a little late getting this one up due to a bunch of travel and work commitments through the month of October, but here it is… my September 2018 Ipsy Glam bag! The theme for September’s glam bag was “lashing out” and was all about edgy makeup products to take you into the fall season! The bag is filled with products that will inspire you to make a statement and express yourself!
I absolutely love the makeup bag for September! When I saw the lash graphic on the black and gold bag, I thought it was so cute, and it fits in with my blog theme so perfectly!
1. Skone Cosmetics Mini Tattooed Liner
This is a great little liquid black liner. It has a satiny-black finish and stays put all day. I also thought that the felt tip was very easy to work with, it wasn’t too firm or too soft. The ink doesn’t bleed and makes a nice straight line. Was impressed, as far as liners go. This retails on their website for $14 USD or ~$18 CAD.
2. Morphe High Impact Highlighter in Spark
The Morphe Hight Impact Highlighter is a pressed powder highlighter in a really pretty champagne shade. It is very nice, however not all that unique. Although I do love a good highlight, you can only have so many champagne shimmery ones before they all start to look alike! I don’t have any complaints about the formula, but nothing to brag about either. I think the size will make it easy to pop into a makeup bag when travelling. This retails for $9.50 CAD.
3. Neuma NeuMoisture Instant Fix
Ipsy seems to send me leave-in conditioners in most bags, and I really don’t mind because I use products like this after every shower! Although I like the effect this one has to detangle and make my hair feel soft, I find it it kind of heavy for my fine hair. It adds shine on the first day of use, but I find my hair looks weighed down and greasy by the 2nd day. It does contain silicones and glycerin in the formula, and I prefer to use products without these ingredients. The sample includes 1 fl oz. of product, with an estimated value of ~$5 CAD.
4. Luxie Beauty Flat Blender Brush (110)
I first tried Luxie brushes at Ipsy’s Generation Beauty event in 2016. They make great synthetic brushes at an affordable price, so I was excited to get this one. Its a special edition brush branded with Harley Quinn (from Suicide Squad) art and style. This brush has a round dime-sized head with flat duo-fibre bristles. This is a great quality brush and I think it’s super cute, as I’m a fan of the comics! Its a great brush to apply and blend out concealer under the eyes and to spot conceal blemishes. It also works well to apply foundation in hard to reach places, like around the nose. This brush retails on their website for $26.18 CAD.
5. Manna Kadar Eyeshadow Duo
The last product I received is the Manna Kadar Eyeshadow Duo in Nemesis and Medusa. This product is a little strange because I can’t seem to find it listed on their website, however the shades are contained in their Goddess palette. Nemesis is a shimmery golden topaz that is quite beautiful, but also quite dupeable. Medusa is a matte cool toned brown with a slightly sheer, but even, pigmentation. I can’t see myself reaching for this duo too often to be completely honest. I found this on Amazon US for $18.99, or about $25 CAD.
Final Thoughts
Overall this was a pretty good glam bag. I absolutely love the makeup bag with the lashes on it and am so happy I got it! I would have to say my favourite product is the Luxie Brush. A girl can never have too many makeup brushes… except for when it comes time to clean them all! My least favourite would probably be the eyeshadow duo, simply because I prefer using palettes and all the options they offer. All in all, the total value of the September 2018 glam bag was about $84 CAD, which is pretty great! I decided to skip the month of October since I knew I wouldn’t be around to enjoy the new products, so I’m excited to see what November’s bag holds!

I’ve been wanting to try the Morphe highlighter but I agree, highlighters start to look the same. This looks like a good bag.
