The annual November Sephora Holiday Sale is about to wrap up this weekend. This year, Rouges had access from October 26 to 29 and November 2 to 5, 2018. VIBs had their turn next from November 9 to 12, and Beauty Insiders are scheduled to shop the sale this weekend from November 16 to 19.
Last night, Sephora made a surprise announcement that Rouge and VIB members would also be given one last shot to access the sale this weekend along with the Beauty Insiders. The sale details are as follows:
- Rouge – 20% off – code: ROUGEBONUS
Its a great time to stock up on your favourites and to cross some gifts off of your Holiday shopping list!

To give some last minute inspiration for the final days of the sale, I thought I’d share the items that I picked up during the sale! I am a Rouge member so I shopped these during the 1st two weeks of the sale.
Drunk Elephant – Agent Ellie Day Kit

The one thing that I knew for sure I would be purchasing was this kit from Drunk Elephant. I love the brand and their kits were also on the top of my 2017 Holiday Wish List and 2018 BI Appreciation Sale Wish List. This set is a great value and contains my most loved DE products including C Firma, B Hydra, Umbra Tinte, and Shaba. I had always wanted to try Protini and that was also included in this kit. It is my perfect morning routine in a box! I also loved their #BeSuspicious Holiday theme this year. Each set included a magnifying glass and cards that inform you how to look out for their identified Suspicious 6 in the ingredient list of your favourite products.
Youth to the People – Superfood Face Wash

I had been eyeing this cleanser since the last sale in August after Samantha Ravndahl recommended it in her video. I picked up a sample at Sephora and really liked it, so I decided it pick it up this time around. I love the packaging of the cleanser in the glass bottle and that it comes with a pump. I find it really energizing to use, it has a bright, herbaceous scent that I find uplifting. It feels nice on my skin and doesn’t leave it with that tight feeling.
Youth to the People – Super Glow Hydration Duo

This set was too good of a value to pass up. It contains a full sized Superfood Moisture Cream ($59) and full sized Superberry Hydrate and Glow Oil ($55). The set retails for $78 CAD ($62.40 after discount) and you are getting $114 worth of product! I had been debating between buying the Superfood cream and Protini, but when I saw this kit, the choice was clear, especially since I got a deluxe Protini in the Drunk Elephant set. The moisturizer is refreshing and has the same herbaceous scent (Eucalyptus maybe?) as the cleanser above. The oil is really nice too. It feels different from my current oil (Drunk Elephant’s Marula Oil). The consistency is thinner and has less slip to it. It also leaves less of a “shine” on the skin. It has a mild citrus scent that slightly reminds me of Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche lipstick scent.
Farmacy – Honeymoon Glow

Honeymoon Glow is a resurfacing night serum with AHA and Honey. It is a 14% solution which is higher than my current Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos night serum. The description on the box says it is formulated with an AHA/BHA/flower acid blend, however the main point of advertisement is the AHA content, so I’d love to learn more about this product. I have only used it a few times since purchasing (every 3rd night or so), so I can’t speak to its long-term effects. I do feel a tingling “acid” sensation while using this product though. I have never felt that using TLC Framboos, but have with Drunk Elephant’s Baby Facial, so I think it’s the heightened acid content. I like the sensation because it feels like its working!
NudeStix – Blush and Glow

This kit was another deal that I couldn’t resist! I love blush – if I had to choose between bronzer, blush, and highlighter, I would always choose blush. I have had this product in and out of my Sephora cart countless times. Seeing this bundle, I knew now was the time to try it out. It comes with NudeStix Nudies all over face colour in Naughty and Spice (matte finish) and Illuminaughty (glossy finish). These are a cream stick product that can be used all over the face, as a cheek, lip, or eye colour, and come with a mini kabuki brush on the bottom end of the component. Naughty and Spice is a perfect dusty rose shade and Illuminaughty is a pinky pearl highlighter that is more sheer and more glossy than I expected. The combo really does give a beautiful glow.
Samples and Freebies

No Sephora haul would be complete without samples!! Rouge members who shopped in-store on Friday October 26 received a bag of samples with purchase. It included the following items: Kiehl’s Gingerleaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask, Volition Snow Mushroom Water Serum, NARS Powermatte Lip Pigment (American Woman), Tory Burch Eau de Parfum, Sol Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, It Cosmetics Confidence in a Cream, Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour (Moonlight, Amethyst, Tuxedo), and Urban Decay Naked Skin Foundation (2.0, 3.5, 5.0, 7.5).
With my online order, I redeemed 100 points for the Milk Kush Mascara deluxe sample. I also re-qualified for another year of Rouge and received the mini Sephora Collection Pro Mini 55.5 brush as a gift. I also got to choose 2 samples with my order and picked out the Tarte Tight and Bright Amazonian Clay Mask and the VERB Sea Shampoo and Conditioner duo. Side note: When did Sephora go from 3 samples with every order to only 2?!
As you can see, I picked up quite a lot. #treatyoself. I don’t think I will purchase anything else for the final weekend of the sale, but if anything is tempting me, it’s the new fragrances from haircare brand OUAI. They released 4 scents modelled after their cult-favourite hair products. Melrose Place (same scent as Rose Hair and Body Oil) is calling my name!
Did you pick anything up during the sale? Do you plan on it? Let me know what you got!
