Bali Body is an Australian skincare and sun care company. They make a range of products dedicated to achieving glowing skin, from tanning oils and self-tan products, to face and body care. They are committed to using naturally-derived ingredients and their products are cruelty-free and vegan. Bali Body was kind enough to send over a few products to review. They sent the BB Cream, Coconut Lip Balm, and the Hydrating Face & Body Mist. I have been testing these out for a few weeks and am happy to share my thoughts!
Bali Body BB Cream
Bali Body’s BB Cream is a base product that helps to correct and protect your skin, with a hint of tint and SPF 15. It offers a sheer coverage that is just enough to even out redness, while still letting your skin shine through. This beauty balm feels hydrating on the skin and leaves a glowing, dewy finish. The hydration is lasting, which is perfect for my dry skin, but those with combo or oily skin may find they need to set it with a powder. When I want extra coverage, I have been layering a powder foundation on top, and it still looks fresh, not cakey.
I got the shade Fair and it is the perfect match. Because it is sheer, it is quite adaptable. I’d choose this shade if you usually go for foundations that would be classified as “light”. I like that this BB Cream offer’s sun protection, but I still prefer to layer it on top of an SPF of at least 30. This product was definitely my favourite of the three, and I love how it looks on my skin! The BB Cream is offered in 4 shades: Fair, Natural, Tan, and Deep. It retails for $39.95 CAD for 1.2 oz of product.
Bali Body Coconut Lip Balm
I have also been reviewing Bali Body’s Coconut Lip Balm. I love this one because it includes SPF 15, and I don’t have many other lip products that include sun protection. The coconut scent is amazing, and not overpowering at all. The balm is thick, but melts into the lips once applied, almost like how coconut oil goes from solid to liquid when you touch it. My lips feel soft and lovely after using, with the feeling staying for ~3-4 hours on average. It reminds me of the Glossier Coconut Balm Dot Com, which I also own, in terms of scent, texture, and consistency. I do prefer that this one has SPF in it, and I also prefer the squeeze-tube applicator and that you don’t have to apply it with your finger. The only thing I’ve noticed with this one is that if you apply too much, it can leave a slight white cast near the wet-dry border of the lips. The lip balm retails for $24.95 CAD for 0.5 oz of product.
Bali Body Hydrating Face & Body Mist
The Bali Body Hydrating Face and Body Mist is a spray that can be used to refresh the skin throughout the day and after being in the sun. It features aloe vera, cucumber, and peppermint to soothe, refresh, and hydrate. I really like this one as a body spray post-shower to add a kick of moisture back into my skin, especially on my arms and legs that can get very dry. Although I haven’t tried it for this purpose yet, I think this will be absolutely amazing to cool the skin after a day at the beach or out in the sun! I am not a huge fan of the fragrance in this one, and so I do not use it as a facial mist. I also find the spray of the mist itself to be more on the aggressive side, I would have preferred a finer mister. I do need to rub the product into the skin once I’ve sprayed it on, because of how it comes out. Once applied. it feels cooling and refreshing, and it softens the skin. The Hydrating Mist retails for $29.95 CAD for 100 ml of product, but as of June 20th, it is 30% off on their website.
