My mom got this for me and was so exited because she had found a beauty tool that my beauty-obsessed self didn’t already know about! It is a hair styler that curls your hair by drawing it into the device and spitting out a perfect curl! Keep scrolling to see a video demo!
It has adjustable heat (320, 360, or 400 degrees), adjustable duration (6 to 12 seconds), and variable curl direction settings (right, left, or alternating). It’s also cordless, has a rechargeable battery, and is super portable! I love how sleek it looks with the rose gold and lavender design. I also love that it comes with a heat protective storage bag.
This video shows my first time using the cutler to style my entire head. I was impressed with how easy it was. Especially when doing the back of my head. The whole process only took about 12 minutes.
The curls are a little tighter than I’m used to, but they fell beautifully. I find my curls also hold a lot longer using the unbound auto-curler compared to a regular curling iron. Usually by the next day I have slight waves, but my curls hold 3 days using this, which is unheard of for me! I’m so used to my curls being gone by the time I wake up the next day. I have to say my hair looked best on Day 2 when they had fallen into a beautiful beachy wave.
A couple things to consider: you do have to be careful when sectioning your hair that your pieces fit into the slotted opening. If the hair section is too large, you can risk it getting tangled up in there. I have fine, medium length hair and it worked great, however for someone with long, thick hair I could see it taking a long time and needing a lot more sections. Also I find the durations to be very long for my fine and fragile hair. I had it on the lowest heat and lowest duration (320, 6s). Once the hair is drawn in and coiled, it starts counting by beeping (ie. 6 beeps = 6 seconds). In the video, I release the curls after only 2 beeps. I can’t imagine having my hair in there for 12! But thick hair types may need it. Just be sure to use a heat protectant!
I’m really happy with my hair turns out when I use the Unbound Auto-Curler and I will definitely bring this travelling with me because of how compact and portable it is, and how nice my hair stayed for 3 days, which is unheard of for me!
What do you think of the curls? Is this a tool you could see yourself using?
